Reaching out to mill owners and operators at all scales, we sought to understand what services are offered, what supply chains are possible, and what components need fortification to support a thriving domestic and regionalized textile industry.
For the first time in the United States, these mills combined the textile processes of spinning and weaving under one roof, essentially eliminating the "putting-out system" in favor of mass production of high-quality cloth.
