A case study on environmental assessment of four concrete types with different natural and recycled concrete aggregate was performed using the LCA methodology. The results of this specific study, along with other researchers’ results, showed that the contribution of the aggregate production phase to total impacts of concrete is rather small about 5% at maximum, depending on impact category.

A CASE STUDY ON THE AGGREGATES IN CONCRETE MIX DESIGN. Article (PDF Available) · June 2018 30 % coarse aggregate, 47 % co arse sand, and 23 % fine sand.
In this study, concrete mixes with fine and coarse aggregates recycled from fresh concrete waste as a substitution of natural aggregates are studied. Optimised design of experiment was used with two variables (rates of fine aggregate replacement or of coarse aggregate replacement) on the basis of identical composition.

The results from an experimental study on the shear behavior of concrete made with natural aggregates (NAC) and 100% recycled aggregates (RAC) are presented in this study. Full scale 200 × 250 × 1900 mm reinforced concrete beams without stirrups were manufactured from two mixtures with C35/45 target class of compressive strength and S4 class of workability.
All the specimens were prepared at 1:1.5:3 with 0.50 w/c ratio and tested at 7, 14, 21, 28 and 56 days curing ages. It is observed from experimental analysis that the workability of fresh normal concrete is 7% and 10% greater than recycled aggregates concrete blended with 10% RHA and only recycled aggregates concrete without RHA respectively.
Assessment is based on local LCI data and on typical conditions in Serbia. Results of this specific case study show that impacts of aggregate and cement production phases are slightly larger for RAC than for NAC but the total environmental impacts depend on the natural and recycled aggregates transport distances and on transport types.
Study of Bond Strength of Concrete Using Recycled Aggregates Paratibha Aggarwal, Associate Professor, but in the case of the deformed bar, This paper presents an overview of several aspects that can further upscale the use of recycled aggregate concrete.
Keywords: recycled aggregate, concrete properties, physical properties, mechanical properties. 1. Introduction Utilizing recycled aggregate is certainly an important step towards sustainable development in the concrete industry and management of construction waste. Recycled aggregate (RA) is a viable alternative to natural aggregate, which helps
Transport Analysis for Recycled Aggregate Concrete Mesoscale Recycled Aggregate Concrete Model. Considering that the polygonal aggregate has a huge amount of calculation for the simulation and the limited influence on water transport (Li et al., 2016; Liu et al., 2018), the round aggregates are used in our study to simplify the calculation.

Crushed concrete aggregates also called as recycled concrete aggregates are fragments and pieces of concrete buildings which are demolished or rebuild. These crushed concrete are cleaned from dirt and broken to smaller pieces to manufacture aggregate which is termed as recycled aggregate. Crushed concrete aggregate eliminates the need for disposal by using the readily available []
